In a world not so different from our own, Xshamster – a metropolis of steel and concrete, where the underbelly is ever-shifting, and the faint of heart are often preyed upon. It is here that our story begins, in a city beset on all sides by desperation and decay.

It starts with whispers, faint murmurs of discontent among the urban masses. They speak of the Ouroboros Corporation, a behemoth that has insidiously infiltrated every aspect of Xshanster life. From the nickel-plated skyscrapers that seem to touch the very heavens, to the busted-up pavement of the maze-like streets below, it is a city within a city.

Those who question the Ouroboros’s power often find themselves at the unforgiving end of its invisible hand. Fear is the cornerstone upon which the corporation’s edifice is constructed, and it’s a custom the city’s residents have grown far too accustomed to. In an attempt to understand this self-governing beast, we take a journey down the underbelly of Xshamster, to encounter the things that live in the spreading stain of despair.
