In the sweltering heat of 1989, upon the crumbling hills of Athens, life seemed stagnant. Yet, for those who roamed the streets of Plaka, their souls yearned for change. 29-year-old Yorgos, our protagonist, lived a life as bewildering as the Acropolis itself. Shrouded by the mystique of his dim past, he sought to unravel the layers that veiled him.
As he wandered the narrow alleys, hand in hand with Iliana, her elegance stood at stark contrast to Yorgos’s rugged facade. Shortly after midnight, they stumbled upon an impromptu art exhibition on the subject of a nude muse. Amidst the beauty that breathed life into the depictions of a young woman, Yorgos and Iliana stumbled upon their epiphany.
Amidst this tempest, the fragile threads that bound the confinements of Yorgos’s life tore – revealing a wealth of memories he had courageously tried to suppress, the likes of which he thought had faded over time. Brought back to the surface, the tortured souls of Yorgos finally pieced themselves back together, symbolizing a first, yet youthful step towards his newfound awakening.
